When is the best time to reserve my newborn session? I consult with moms and dads to design their newborn sessions. I want the images to coordinate with nurseries, home styles, preferences, etcs. Since I encourage your input, these designs can take time to solidify. Also, with the unknown timing of delivery, most newborn photographers only reserve a given number of newborn sessions a month-allowing for more flexibility on the calendar. For this reason, it is best to make your reservation during the third trimester of pregnancy. It is not unusual to have to postpone a session if the parents did not make a reservation early. While these later sessions are beautiful, your baby may not do well with classic curly newborn poses.
How do I make a newborn reservation when I don’t know when I will deliver? Due to the unknown timing of a delivery, most newborn photographers must limit the number of newborn sessions they reserve each month. It is best to notify me with your due date well before delivery, and I will dedicate a two week period as your possible shoot date. I make sure to be available and flexible during that time period just for you. Since I find that newborns are best photographed between day 5-21, once notified, I will schedule a day convenient to you and your baby’s ever changing routine.ck
Can I include siblings? Sure! I love having family included in the keepsake images. Baby will love seeing these as he/she grows.. I provide 2 packages specifically to include family members.
Do I get my session deposit back if I need to cancel? The $50 reservation deposit is non-refundable. It reserves my time for two weeks surrounding your delivery date, helps obtain specific design features and prepares for your newborn session. However, this $50 applies to the overall cost of your session.
How do I send my deposit: You can easily send your deposit by venmo to Susan-Brown-86 or Zelle to 2252058585. We cannot begin designing your photo shoot until the deposit is made.
Can I reschedule if needed? Please take care and stay home if you or baby is sick. We simply ask you to provide 24 hour notification. We can reschedule when everyone feels better.
How will I receive my digital images? I will send your baby’s gallery via email link so you can view them conveniently at home. Once you pick your favorites, I will send a Zip drive with the high resolution digitals for your use.
Should baby be asleep or awake during the shoot? Does my baby need to be a certain age for a newborn shoot? Either asleep or awake is fine. However, certain poses require a sleeping baby for safety purposes. Additionally, certain newborn poses require swaddling which is best for babies under 3 weeks. That being said, beautiful pictures are always possible because your baby is beautiful!
